Together We Learn is a parent curriculum that is scientifically based and is crucial in teaching parents how to expose their children to high quality language and literacy environments. Together We Learn equips parents with a kind of “toolbox” for literacy containing vital materials, knowledge, and skills that infuses in parents a desire to want to be an integral part of their children’s learning. “This program is very educational. It really helps to get parents involved in their children’s education. It also motivates the children to learn with several techniques… Not only did my daughter and I enjoy the lessons but my other two sons would also show an interest to what we were doing and what I was teaching my daughter. I really do think my daughter picked up a lot especially her alphabet; she is able to recognize all her upper and lower case letters. …I also saw how fast my daughter can pick up on things and how eager she is to learn new things. There were some things I had no idea she knew already like the parts of the book and she even recognized sight words. I really do think this is such a great program and thank you for the opportunity to participate because my children’s education is really important to us.”
